Acceptable Usage Policy - Closure of account

You must notify us in writing of your intention to close your account.
This protects both you and us against incorrect account closure
under the following conditions (and more!):

• The non-written instructions of someone else
• Non-verifiable verbal instructions from you
• A mistake on either party's part

We consider written notification to be of the following forms:

• Email from your HiNet account to 'accounts@hinet.net.au' or 'support@hinet.net.au'
  This email must include the HiNet account name you're closing, the date you want it
  closed by, and the way you want us to confirm that we got your closure notice.
  Feel free to copy/paste the Account Closure Form
• Completed, faxed Account Closure Form to (02) 4872 2943
• Completed, posted Account Closure Form to:

  Highlands Internet
  P.O. BOX 789
  Mittagong, NSW 2575

When we receive your closure notice, we will confirm this within 2 business days
using the contact details you supply on your closure notice.
Until we confirm receipt:

• We have not received your notification
• Your account is still open
• You are still charged regular fees for your account

If there is any money owing on your account:

• It must be paid before your account will be closed
• Your account is still open until it is paid
• You are still charged regular fees for your account

We do not want to make it difficult for you to close your account.
If you absolutely cannot provide notice by any of the above methods
we can and will accept alternative methods (you must contact us to discuss).
