Ernie O'Keefe is the principal of Ernie
O'Keefe and Associates and has over 25 years experience in the lottery
industry.
He has held a number of senior positions in the Lottery
Industry in Australia, including:
Mr O'Keefe joined NSW Lotteries in 1986 after
serving a number of years with the NSW State Government. He has an extensive
knowledge of the lottery industry, with expertise gained in a number of senior
positions in NSW Lotteries from early 1986 to 1996, where he was Lotteries
Manager, Product Manager, New Business Development Manager and Group Product
Manager. He was appointed to the inaugural Board of N.S.W. Lotteries in 1991
and served on the Board until 1994. He is credited with establishing N.S.W.
Lotteries' modern centralised distribution centre, and restructuring N.S.W.
Lotteries' traditional passive Jackpot Lottery games with new game designs in
1995 and the development of Lucky 7 in 1996. Mr O'Keefe left NSW
Lotteries in 1996 to launch Ernie O'Keefe and Associates and shortly after also
became the General Manager of Interplay Multimedia Pty Ltd. In 2000, Access
Gaming Systems Limited, a leading supplier of internet gambling systems to
government regulated gaming operators throughout the world, invited Mr. O'keefe
to join its Board of Directors. In March 2000 Access Gaming Systems
announced its intention to raise $45 million with an initial public offering
(IPO) of shares, it also announced that it had appointed Mr OKeefe as
Chairman of the companys Board of Directors to lead the IPO. Mr
OKeefe resigned all directorships in 2002 to concentrate totally on Ernie
O'Keefe and Associateson and the industries leading resource Lottery Insider,
which he had launched in 1996. He is currently the Managing Editor of
Lottery Insider and Principal Consultant of Ernie O'Keefe and
Associates. |
