PyVaeddian Pole People

It was yesterday announced that the first Consulate of the Imperial Grand Duchy of PyVaeddia is to be established in Sutton Forest.

His and Her Noblenesses Plynthyyl MCMLV The Grand Duke and Myopyk The Grand Duchess graciously permitted the formalisation of diplomatic relations between the Imperial Grand Duchy of PyVaeddia and the rest of the world through this Consulate.

The first contact with PyVaeddia was made in the summer (a very hot day as I remember) of 1996. Some difficulties were encountered in the early period, which was overcome when Saabi Marc ap Neb became involved. His linguistic skills allowed greater medium for discourse. Saabi Marc was honoured with the highest order a non citizen of PyVaeddia may earn (Four such titles may be conferred, they being, Sa, Saa, Saab and Saabi), which contrary to normal practice was personally bestowed by Her Nobleness, Myopyk, The Grand Duchess in a ceremony of great splendor.

It will come as no surprise (except, perhaps, to Saabi Marc) , that the High Commissioner of the new High Commission of the Consulate of the Imperial Grand Duchy of PyVaeddia is in fact Saabi Marc ap Neb.

The premises of the new High Commission of the Consulate of the Imperial Grand Duchy of PyVaeddia are conveniently situated on the far wall (on the right hand side of the french style pot-bellied stove [being on the RIGHT is no indication of the political proclivities of the government]), in the Old Stables behind Barnsley Bros Old Butcher Shop, opposite the Old Everything Store, facing the Old Post Office just past the Sutton Forest Inn midway between the Catholic and Anglican Churches.
(Translators note: PyVaeddian Pole People just love over long sentences.)

PyVaeddian Pole People wishing to emmigrate congregate at the above mentioned premises awaiting sponsors according to the agreement between the government of His Nobleness Plynthyyl MCMLV the Imperial Grand Duke and Saabi Marc. Visas may only be issued to PyVaeddian Pole Persons who have a sponsor.

Readers of this notice who may wish to consider sponsoring one or more PyVaeddian Pole Person need to be aware of the following four requirements.
        1. A dollop of aesthetic awareness.
        2. A smidgeon of whimsey.
        C. A pinch of parsley.
        3. Two splashes of eccentricity.
        D. 6 cups of icing sugar.

All of the above are essential requirements to be considered as a sponsor .........oops no , you have probably already guessed C. and D. are in fact items required to make the almost famous PyVae Parsley cake, a light but very sweet pudding. Oh yeah number four was misplaced but read on 'cos it's gunna turn up. Sorry about the language slippage the typist is getting tired, as no doubt you are.
        4. A thorough knowledge of Sutton Forest and environs.

Saabi Marc has extended an invitation to Their Imperial Noblenesses to attend an official reception at Sutton Forest, which has been accepted. The date of this exclusive soiree is yet to be announced and guest lists are still being drawn up. Naturally sponsors and their sponsees are to be given preference for inclusion .

Some months ago an entertainer from PyVaeddia, Carmen, illegally took up residence with a family living near Yerrinbool, in a place reportedly named Biddleonia. The family is believed to be named 'Biddle'. The Consulate would very much like to contact the Biddles of Biddleonia to arrange the issue of a back dated visa to legalise Carmen's status of residency. Anyone who can help with information of Carmen's current whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Consulate ,in their new premises, Fri,Sat,Sun only, or telephone 02 4869 1860 after business hours.
